Harness Creativ(IT)y Infocomm Workshop 2012

Jointly organized by Marshall Cavendish Online (MC Online) and Ngee Ann School of Infocomm Technology (NP-ICT), the Harness Creativ(IT)y Infocomm Workshop was held on 3 August 2012 at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The one-day event showcased the combined efforts of MC Online and NP-ICT in developing the students’ digital media skills and also provided an opportunity for the students to exhibit their creative work. The workshop was attended by Heads of Department (HODs) and Infocomm Club teachers from local secondary schools and commenced with lively presentations by representatives from MC Online and NP-ICT.

The workshop is kicked off with buoyant presentations

True to its name, the workshop also featured a hands-on digital media training session which was aimed at inspiring creativity and rendering artistic innovation through the use of digital tools. Amidst an atmosphere of lively anticipation and merriment, the participants were able to learn and try out the basics of graphic editing using Adobe Photoshop. Our trainers were on hand to offer guidance and instruction to the eager participants who delved into the program with much fervor, reveling in the delight of creating artistic photo edited images.

The participants were next given a tour through The Dot, the campus’s state-of-the-art Multimedia and Animation Centre where they explored the centre’s advanced technological facilities and learnt more about the specialized ICT courses offered.
